Functional outcomes of ulnar nerve neurotization by anterior interosseous nerve in high level injury

چکیده

Background: The ulnar nerve injury induce sever hand malfunction due to intrinsic muscle paralysis. repair in proximal area (high injury) seldom leads function because of long distance return. Therefore, the best techniques restore patient with high is distal transfer minimize regeneration time and distance. Objective: aim this study describe surgical results obtained motor branch anterior interosseous destined pronator quadrates division (the deep nerve). Methods: It a retrospective thirty elderly patients underwent nerve, end suture at site Sohag microsurgery unit. Results: mean postoperative follow-up period was 22 months (range from 12 38 months). At final follow-up, twenty-seven (90%) showed good according Highet-Zachary scheme (M3 or M4, S3+, negative Froment’s sign). other three (10%) poor result (M1, S2, positive sign). Conclusion: This technique primary effective for sensory recovery innervated side hand.

Anterior interosseous nerve syndrome

OBJECTIVE We sought to determine lesion sites and spatial lesion patterns in spontaneous anterior interosseous nerve syndrome (AINS) with high-resolution magnetic resonance neurography (MRN). METHODS In 20 patients with AINS and 20 age- and sex-matched controls, MRN of median nerve fascicles was performed at 3T with large longitudinal anatomical coverage (upper arm/elbow/forearm): 135 contigu...

Anterior interosseous nerve syndrome.

Details of a 23 year old patient who suffered the spontaneous onset of an anterior interosseous nerve palsy are recorded together with the results of a full neurophysiological investigation. Isolated lesions of the anterior interosseous nerve are rare and there are no recorded cases with comprehensive neurophysiological investigation. The anterior interosseous nerve is a purely motor nerve and ...

Anterior Interosseous Nerve Syndrome

Anterior interosseous nerve syndrome (Kiloh-Nevin Syndrome) is the triad of weakness of the flexor pollicis longus, the flexor digitorum profundus of the index finger, and the pronator quadratus. It is a manifestation of neuropathy affecting either the anterior interosseous nerve itself (anterior interosseous neuropathy) or its fascicles more proximally within the median nerve or brachial plexu...

Anterior Interosseous Nerve Palsy.

Unexplained paralysis of the muscles supplied by the anterior interosseous nerve of the forearm was recorded by Parsonage and Turner (1948), Kiloh and Nevin (1952) and Thomas (1962). In none of the patients they described was the affected nerve explored. Spontaneous recovery occurred in all, but it was long delayed and incomplete. We record here a case of “ isolated neuritis ofthe anterior inte...

Palsy of the anterior interosseous nerve (AIN) was first described by Tinel1 in 1918 under the title ‘Dissociated paralysis of the median nerve’. In 1948 Parsonage and Turner2 noted six examples of this syndrome in a review of 136 patients with neuralgic amyot...
